£13.73 per hour (pending 26/27 pay award)Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival is seeking a casual Bars Duty Manager to help oversee the bars operation during events.

Working within a team of Duty Managers you will be responsible for the operational management of the bars during shifts, ensuring effective delivery of bars and event catering within Brighton Dome and Brighton Festival. Our team of Duty Managers all work both duty management and event ‘support’ shifts.

You will be a confident and experienced bars professional who combines excellent customer service and people management skills with extensive experience of high-volume bars and/or catering, including cash and stock control procedures. You’ll be enthusiastic and able to motivate a large team of staff to deliver high standards of customer service. You will create a positive and productive environment for staff and customers alike in our historic and vibrant venue where bars requirements change in line with the varied programme of events.

The Bars Duty Managers work mainly evenings and weekends as part of a varied rota in line with event requirements. As a casual, member of the team you will be covering occasional DM and Secondary Manager shifts. This would therefore suit an existing member of staff looking to step up and take on additional responsibilities.
