Deputy Visitor Services Manager (Front of House) - Internal only
Permanent role - 148 hours over 4 weeks
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Deputy Visitor Services Manager focussing on managing our Front of House team based at the vibrant and historic Brighton Dome throughout the year and across the city and beyond during the Brighton Festival in May.
On a day-to-day basis you will lead the Front of House staff team made up of Stewards, Security, Volunteers and First Aiders, who provide the all-important first impression at events. The Front of House team plays a vital role in making all our visitors feel welcome and able to access the activities we stage. You will have a unique opportunity to shape this team with your ability to recruit, train and develop staff in providing excellent and inclusive customer service. Your work will shape the experience of audiences and visitors from all over the world and from all parts of our diverse community.
As well as working behind the scenes to manage the team and communicate with our audiences by phone and in writing, you will also work Front of House playing a role in the Duty Management rota occasionally working evenings and weekends.
You will have demonstrable experience in the management of front-line staff ideally but not necessarily in an arts and entertainment setting, of providing excellent customer service and ensuring health and safety in a public setting. We would really like to meet people with a passion for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and experience of putting those values into practice, as we strive to build a staff group reflective of our local community. You will also be expected to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications and be confident to learn other software used to plan events and rota staff.
