3 x Festival Duty Event Managers  

Hourly paid £13.27 per hour (subject to pay review)

Between 38- 48 hours per week – 2nd May – 28th May

1 x weekend FDEM Friday-Sunday shifts from 12th May - average 27 hours per week. All positions - ad hoc training in April and wrap up at end of May

We are seeking four talented event professionals to work as Duty Event Managers during Brighton Festival taking place May 2023. These roles present an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of our visitors’ experience of the Brighton Festival. This year Brighton Festival's Guest Director is the critically acclaimed musician, producer, DJ and broadcaster Nabihah Iqbal. https://brightonfestival.org/

There will be a variety of fixed term contracts available covering different shows across the city. Weekly hours will range from 20-45+ hours approximately. Available contracts will be discussed with shortlisted candidates. Festival Duty Event Managers should be proactive and confident front of house managers with experience of working on live events.  

We especially welcome applications from people who have experience working on pop-up and outdoor events and those held in unusual venues. You should have experience in leading a team and have the ability to quickly make excellent working relationships with artists and colleagues. Candidates should be able to use their initiative and respond to the exciting and demanding Festival environment. You will be knowledgeable in health and safety, fire procedures and security to make sure our events are safe and well managed. Shifts may be long and involve working outdoors or in unusual spaces. Having knowledge of production and technical aspects of live events is a bonus but front of house and staff management experience is essential.
