Producer

Temporary cover for up to 10 months

2.5 days (18.75 hours per week)

£28,840 - £32,029 per annum (pro rata)

Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival offers an unusually diverse and exciting environment in which to work, particularly on the annual international Brighton Festival that takes place all over the city and its surrounding area for the month of May. We have re-opened our Corn Exchange and Studio Theatre and launched our new creative space, Anita’s Room in November 2023. It’s an exciting time to join us.

We wholeheartedly believe that the arts can change lives and are looking for someone to join us in that aim. We are looking for someone who is collaborative and who has demonstrable experience of producing and programming within a fast past environment. The Producer will work closely with the Directors of Programming & Participation and Festival Executive Producer to realise the multi-artform programming of the festival and year-round programming, including budget management, overall scheduling, producing, negotiations, programme administration, delivery and coordination.

We are also looking for someone with the ability to work well with a diverse range of people, has an inclusive practice, has excellent communication skills, can manage budgets and has exceptional organisational skills.

Please note, this role includes significant focus towards Festival delivery, therefore requires attendance at festival meetings (on Thursdays), and to go to full time hours around the festival delivery period (with Time Off In Lieu afterwards). We are happy to discuss flexible work patterns. Please note we are also open to someone applying for this on a freelance basis or who might want to take a sabbatical from their current role.

If you do not have all the skills on the job description but are still interested in the role or would like to explore doing the role as a sabbatical please contact Luisa for an informal chat at luisa.hinchliff@brightondome.org

Closing date: Weds 6 November 2024

Interviews: Week beginning 11 November 2024
