Contract: Fixed term until the end of December 2026

Hours: 20 hours per week plus overtime

Pay: £14.07 per hour, subject to pay review

Time and a half payable between 1am and 8am and on bank holidays.

About the role

The role is primarily to ensure sufficient cover during the busy seasonal period up to the end of December 2026.

Join our friendly back of house team in a varied and dynamic role ensuring our artists, clients and visitors enjoy the best possible experience at Brighton Dome’s historic destination venues.

VSAs are at the centre of event activity. Duties include:

• Stage Door B cover

• Furniture and room set-ups

• Parking, access road and loading bay duties

• Back of house security

• Health and safety

• General housekeeping

Shifts and availability

Shifts typically range from 6 to 12 hours in length with working hours between 8am and 2am. The role requires you to be on your feet for 6 to 8 hours of a shift including lifting and moving items in line with manual handling guidelines.

You will work a variable shift pattern across daytime, evening and weekend shifts in line with event requirements. Availability across a range of shifts each week is expected.

Excellent weekend availability and over Christmas is essential along with strong flexibility.

About you

The successful candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm for practical work, excellent customer service skills and experience in a hands-on role within a venue, arts or entertainment environment.
