£25,755 per annum
Full or Part Time hours will be considered
Working as a key member of the Maintenance Department the Supervisor will provide support to the Maintenance Manager in the planning and delivery of maintenance tasks across our Grade 1 listed heritage buildings, maintaining and presenting the buildings to the highest standard and deputising in their absence.
Working in a live events environment creates an unusual and dynamic place to work for the Maintenance team. Duties vary from responding to reactive maintenance calls about the building’s facilities, to carrying out preventative maintenance and testing of HVAC, alarms etc, using the BMS and PPM systems and carrying out building related projects. The Supervisor will assist in arrangements with visiting contractors, ensuring that safety is the first priority in everything the Department is involved with.
It is an exciting time to join as we prepare to take back the redeveloped Corn Exchange and Studio Theatre, developing maintenance programmes for these performance and community spaces.
We are seeking someone with demonstrable experience in a maintenance related area and a Level 2 or above (or equivalent) qualification in a related area (e.g. electrical, mechanical, plumbing or carpentry). Having supervised staff in the past the right candidate will be working with a small and committed team and with visiting contractors on a regular basis.
We offer a varied, flexible, friendly and supportive work environment, an Employee Assistance Programme to support your well-being, contributory pension scheme and access to complimentary Brighton Dome and Brighton Festival tickets.
